Training team members and setting agency POVs for content strategy, social media, copywriting, and more.

Business Needs

As agency offerings grew, new team members came on board, and digital work became more prominent, my agency needed to establish internal standards and training for non-traditional (non-print) work. It was important to ensure the larger team was speaking the same language, selling the same deliverables, and executing high level work across offices. 

The challenge?

  • Document agency POV on a variety of digital topics
  • Lead regular agency lunch & learns for multi-disciplinary teams
  • Train new team members in digital best practices

Strategy & Process

Working with the VP of Digital and UX, we developed a training calendar for developing and disseminating internal education lunch and learn presentations. Digital team members were expected to spearhead topics within their expertise, lead multidisciplinary internal teams to research and develop standards, and present to the agency at large. 

Results

Creative teams began to reference training documents rather than rely on digital team members for basic questions. Account teams leveraged the decks to sell in capabilities. And new hires reviewed the documentation to understand agency POVs and process.
